The money-habits framework
The game's money moments follow the CFPB's research-based Building Blocks of Financial Capability. For this age range the foundations are executive function — planning, patience, self-control — and everyday habits like "earn first, then choose". The parent guide walks through each part of the game in plain language.
Tips for classroom use
- Centers: pair one child as the shop keeper with the Shop at Home price tags while another plays the game's matching shop, then swap.
- Shared devices: progress is saved on each device. Up to four characters can share one device (tap "New character" on the Chat screen), so a small group can each keep their own.
- Talk prompts: "How many 10s did you need?" "Which one costs more?" "How many more coins until you reach your goal?"
- It's pretend: the game's coins aren't real U.S. coins. For real coin identification, pair it with your own coin set.
